VertiNode for automated logistics
The VertiNode Warehouse Control System (WCS) for automated logistics is compatible with most warehouse technologies on the market. VertiNode has a wide range of applications and its comprehensive solution allows to integrate outputs directly into higher-level processes The company's ERP system can learn from VertiNode the target picking position and expected processing time immediately after an order is submitted for picking, this information can be used for immediate communication to the client in the order processing process. Order statuses are accessible via an API interface. The ERP system (and thus the client) can thus know at any time when the shipment will approximately occur, that the shipment has been started and successfully completed or delayed, the tracking of the order ID for immediate confirmation of the shipping company, all with the aim of increasing transparency and speed and delivery.
VertiNode in the logistics process
Vertinode acts as a control element within the logistics process, which is responsible for the management of the automation technology, its peripherals, and possibly also the peripherals of the control PC and therefore all relevant inputs. At the same time, he is prepared to communicate adequately with the superior.
VertiNode communication
All components within the project communicate with each other using clearly defined protocols within the customer's corporate network. Encrypted or otherwise secure communications can be used if the customer requires and the technology allows. This is especially true for communication between the Vertinode platform and the customer's parent system. As a rule, in these cases, the deployment of a server certificate and the use of security tokens is involved.
In the case of communication with a specific storage technology and its management, secure communication is often not technologically possible. In this case, there is no transfer of sensitive data, but only elementary instructions for the handling of goods and at the same time the fact that the communication takes place within the internal and secure network of the customer is taken into account.
Possible means of communication
The Vertinode platform is open to any method of data exchange that the customer prefers. For the frequently used connection methods, a more detailed description of the fields used, their meanings and a closer look at the details of the communication itself is available. VertiNode works with the following bridges by default (sorted by preference):

- IDOC

VertiNode packages
Vertinode is offered in several packages that focus on the composition of functions to meet the functional needs of a given project, ideally with overlap. Upgrading is possible by simply changing the license on the solution already in use.
We put our many years of experience into the development of the functions, the way of use and the overall functioning of the integration platform. At the same time, we work with suggestions from our customers, which makes even the basic package more versatile and usable for a wider range of projects. Visual appearance of VertiNode
The Vertinode integration platform includes several key visual outputs for users. These are the admin interface, the user interface and the Displaytool.
Administration interface
It is used for settings and administration of the whole system. It is intended for a dedicated responsible employee from the customer side and possible software support. It contains all settings, parameters and lists relevant for operation. Selected lists can also be exported.
User interfaces
This interface is intended for operators to use in their daily activities. The display is clear and efficient for use in normal operation.
Displaytool
Visual communication that helps operators to navigate during their material or goods handling activities. The configurable form of the screen can be adapted to the needs of a given logistics operation.
