Grizly
Efficient food storage at the Grizly warehouse is ensured by new Compact Lift vertical storage towers controlled by WCS VertiNodeĀ®.
Grizly.cz, a fast-growing Czech e-commerce retailer specializing in healthy food and nutrition, needed an automation solution that would seamlessly connect its warehouse machines with the companyās existing warehouse management system (WMS). The key requirement was to keep all inventory data and material location management fully within the WMS while enabling simple and reliable machine control through a standardized interface.
The solution delivered by VertiFlex was the implementation of VertiNodeĀ® Link ā a bridge that allows the customerās WMS to directly communicate with Compact vertical lift systems via a clearly defined API. With this integration, the WMS remains the single point of truth for all material and location management, while VertiNode Link enables the system to call individual trays from the machines on demand. This lightweight approach ensures smooth integration without duplicating data or complicating warehouse processes.
As a result, Grizly now benefits from a streamlined and unified workflow, where vertical storage systems operate as a natural extension of the customerās WMS. The integration improves control, reduces complexity for operators, and ensures scalability for future growth. With VertiNodeĀ® Link, Grizly gained an efficient way to connect automation technology to its existing IT infrastructure, without the need for major changes in daily operations.

Company O2 Czech Republic uses WCS VertiNodeĀ® to manage warehouse processes.
O2 Czech Republic a.s., one of the largest telecommunications service providers in the Czech Republic, manages extensive distribution of mobile devices, accessories, and SIM cards for both end customers and corporate clients. With a growing volume of orders and the need for faster order fulfillment, the company decided to modernize its warehouse operations with two Compact Twin vertical lift systems integrated into its information system through the advanced control software VertiNodeĀ®.
As part of the project, the VertiNodeĀ® WCS was integrated with the companyās SAP system, enabling order processing based on the order type and target customer. Warehouse operations are automatically categorized into B2B (corporate clients) and B2C (end customers). This structure optimizes the work with the vertical lifts and minimizes operator downtime during picking.
VertiNodeĀ® also manages the picking process into boxes located on gravity flow racks equipped with a pick-to-light system. Light navigation guides operators to the exact box location, and order confirmation is performed with a single touch. This makes the process significantly faster and virtually error-free ā eliminating mistakes and shortening order fulfillment times.
By combining Compact Twin lifts with the VertiNodeĀ® control system, O2 has gained a modern solution that fully meets the demands for fast and accurate logistics. The result is greater efficiency in warehouse operations, reliable SAP integration, and clear management of both B2B and B2C orders. The implementation also enabled better utilization of warehouse space, improved ergonomics, and prepared O2 for further digitalization of its logistics processes.
Authentica Fulfillment
VertiNodeĀ® controls the largest robotic fulfillment warehouse in the Czech Republic
In 2024, Authentica Fulfillment responded to the growing demand for its e-commerce logistics services by investing in a fully automated robotic warehouse. At the heart of the entire solution is the VertiNodeĀ® warehouse control system developed by VertiFlex.
VertiNodeĀ® serves as the integration platform that connects and controls all delivered technologiesāfrom P40 transport robots and RS11 vertical storage robots, to conveyor systems, Pick-to-Light zones, automated labeling and sorting, and SKU measurement via Verti.Metric.
Through a REST API interface, VertiNodeĀ® communicates bidirectionally with Authenticaās in-house WMS. In real-time, it enables:
- Optimization of tote transport routes using ABC turnover analysis,
- Order picking planning and execution (APS/MIS/MES),
- Maintenance management (via the CMMS module),
- Minimization of manual labor and increased operational efficiency.
Thanks to the implementation of VertiNodeĀ® and full automation, the warehouse can now process up to 20,000 orders per day, aiming to reach 500,000 orders per month. The solution has become the most extensive robotic fulfillment warehouse in the Czech Republic.
Bidfood Czech Republic
Bidfood Czech Republic uses VertiNodeĀ® for smart logistics management.
Bidfood Czech Republic, a leading distributor of food for the catering and retail sectors, supplies thousands of restaurants, hotels, schools, and shops across the country every day. Efficient and accurate warehouse management plays a key role in this process. In order to keep pace with the growing volume of orders, the company decided to install two Compact Twin vertical storage towers and implement the advanced VertiNodeĀ® control system with extended logic and special modifications to suit its needs.
As part of the project, VertiNodeĀ® was integrated into the company's environment with modifications to work with color-coded locations for pallets for picking. This mode ensures clear and intuitive operation without the need for pick-to-light peripherals. The system displays the relevant locations and their color coding directly on the controls, which greatly simplifies orientation and speeds up the picking process.
The implementation also included extended work with the expiration of stored food. VertiNodeĀ® automatically monitors shelf life and controls the picking process in accordance with FIFO or FEFO rules. This ensures not only high accuracy but also food chain safety.
At the same time, logic for the even distribution of work between the two stackers was added to the system ā both for storage and picking. VertiNodeĀ® dynamically balances the load between machines, eliminating unnecessary downtime and increasing the performance of the entire warehouse.
Thanks to the implementation of VertiNodeĀ®, Bidfood has gained a tool that:
- connects stackers to the company system and allows easy work with color-coded locations,
- automatically tracks expiry dates and manages stock removal according to shelf life,
- optimizes workflow and evenly distributes the load between both machines,
- delivers greater accuracy, speed, and efficiency without the need to invest in additional peripherals.
VertiNodeĀ® has thus become not only the brain of the stackers, but also a bridge to effective food logistics management.
